A Quantitative Analysison SSCI Papers in Agricultural Universities ——A Case Study of Some Agricultural University

In order to investigate the present situation and characteristics of social science research in agricultural universities of China,and promote the development of social science research in agricultural universities,this paper,based on the data of SSCI papers from China Agricultural University,Nanjing Agricultural University and Huazhong Agricultural University,etc,makes an analysis on quantities of papers,citation frequency,types of documents and distribution of disciplines etc.The result shows that social science research in agricultural universities has made a rapid development in recent five years,but such problems as small quantities of papers and narrow coverage of subjects,etc.still exist.Therefore,this paper puts forward some relevant suggestions from policy support,construction of research team and utilization of SSCI database,etc.
