Abstract
Inverse emulsion copolymerization of DMC and AM was studied using Span-80 and OP-10 as emulsifier,K_ 2S_ 2O_ 8-Na_ 2S_ 2O_ 4 and V-044 as initiator, gasoline as oil-phase medium. The product was characterized by FT-IR. The particle size distribution and molecular weight of the product were studied. The effects of emulsifier concentration and initiator concentration on molecular weight and particle size were investigated in detail. It was showed that the molecular weight and particle size were dependent on the polymerization conditions.
