A tentative discussion of position of Qing Dynasty in Chinese history

Abstract

In the period of Qing Dynasty(before 1840 A.D.)China fell behind the West,especially Britain,the main causes were not the factor which arose in the period of Qing Dynasty hindering the development of the society,it was reflected that the accelrative economic rapid development existed in Britain,economy in Qing Dynasty developed quicker than that in Tang-Song-Yuan-Ming Dynasties,but the speed was slower than that of Britain,therefore the spatial difference between China and Britain became larger.The traditional historical factors caused the relative slow economic development in China,the social profitable products in the broad market and productive techique which could not be quicker developed should be paid attention to.The positive and negetive political influence on the society co-existed in Qing Dynasty.Meanwhile,the development of unification of domain,the development of foreign relation,the development of thinking culture in Qing period was notable big.
