On the Aspirations for a New China Contained in Qiu Fengjia's Poems

Qiu Fengjia was a pioneer of the movement of Anti-Japanese invasion and defending Taiwan and a poet who imbued his aspirations for a New China in his poems. After he came to the Mainland he realized that in order to recover Taiwan there must be a strong new China and combined his love for his home and for the motherland in his writings. The idea for a new China developed from constitutional monarchy to republic. Having felt the constitutional monarchy was no more feasible he took an active part in founding the Republic of China and thus to rejuvenate the nation.Up to the present time, Qiu's idea for a New China has always been a spiritual treasure to promote the peaceful rise of the country.
