Abstract
Objective To investigate the application of intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI)in human oocyte reinsemination after failure of conventional in vitro fertilization(IVF).Methods Reinsemination via ICSI was carried out on MⅡ oocytes(No.=106)after 12-cycle failure of conventional IVF.The best embryos were frozen and transplanted after thawing and assisted hatching(AH).Results Ninety-two MⅡoocytes received ICSI were survived among which normal fertilization was found in 75 oocytes(75/106,70.8%),cleavage in 69 oocytes(69/75,92.0%).Polyploidic(or monoploidic)oocytes were found in 12 oocytes,57 best embryos were freeze-thawing,of which 38 could be transferred to 11 women. One embryo failed to be transplanted, seven embryos were damaged seriously during transplantation. One patient conceived two twins clinically after ET,and another biochemically. The pregnancy rate was 18.2%.Conclusion ICSI could be used to reinseminate the oocytes from the failed fertilization cycles in vitro. It has some efficacy of obtaining pregnancy with the help of freeze-thawing and assisted hatching of embryos.
