Abstract
In this paper, the principle of direct torque control(DTC)for permanent magnet synchronous motor and the effect of voltage vectors on flux linkage and torque are studied, and a new direct torque control with space vector modulation(SVM)is proposed. The proposed control strategy utilizes torque and flux linkage errors to generate stator reference voltage, and then the errors can be precisely compensated by space vector modulation. So that the torque performance of direct torque control, especially at low speed,is largely improved. Moreover, the simulation and experiment confirmations have been made.
