Abstract
The power expression by the wind passing through the rotor swept area of back wind direction wind turbine is accurately deduced from energy viewpoint based on wind shear and tower shadow effect.The research show that the wind power is a function of tower height,wind shear exponents and tower diameter.The calculation example concludes that the influence of tower of wind turbine is indispensable.Moreover,the more wind power is outputted by decreasing the diameter of wind turbine.All the above standpoints might be an improvement for the design theory of wind turbine.
