Abstract
Cunninghamia lanceolata is one of important rapid-growth tree species in China,and its ecological and economic values are high in many regions.It also is a high-quality native tree species in South Sichuan.In this paper,a reasonable initial planting density and new cultivation methods in southern Sichuan are proposed according to biological and ecological characteristics of Cunninghamia lanceolata,and the comparative experiments are made on stand growth and efficiency through its different initial-planting densities and operating methods for the purpose of promoting the use of Cunninghamia lanceolata to further enhance its ecological and economic values.
