Consideration on directing higher medical education by means of the view of scientific development

General situations of higher medical education and challenges it is faced with are analyzed in this paper. School-running thoughts and strategies for further development are put forward in the following by combining characteristics of medical education and criteria of international medical education. 1. Sound and reasonable strategies should be made out according to the development law of medical education and real situation of the school. 2. Features of medical education should be stressed by taking academic learning as the root. 3. Investment on medical education should be considered with proper inclination. 4. Management system concerning medical education should be further regulated for smooth operation. 5. Medical education needs internationalizing. 6. The system of lifelong education needs perfecting. 7. Diversified medical layers should be built to cope with the relationship between scale expansion and quality guarantee. 8. Education of students' qualities and teachers' moralities should be strengthened. 9. Importance should be attached to training of teaching staff.
