Abstract
According to the new situation of electric power industry in India, its electric power industry reform and recent development were introduced. The status of electric power industry, the reform road, aim, course and recent development were focused on, and the structure of electric power industry in India nowadays was given. The characteristics of electric power reform in India were summed up. Because of the independence features of states in India, the reform mode and progress in a specific state is different, which was studied and introduced in the paper.
