Abstract
Based on the construction of index system for forestry low-carbon competitiveness,an empirical evaluation for southwest region was carried out by using factor analysis. The results showed that the rank order of forestry low-carbon comprehensive competitiveness in southwest region in 2010 is Chongqing,Sichuan,Yunnan,Guizhou and Tibet.Several suggestions were proposed to enhance the competitiveness, including speed up the adjustment of forestry industrial structure, transform forestry economic growth pattern;emphasis on forestry science and technology work, strive to enhance the level of forestry science and technology;pay attention to forestry classification management, fully tap the forestry carbon sequestration potential.
