Abstract

In the course of continuous water flooding of an oil reservoir, the injected water is easy to penetrate along high-permeability area of the reservoir and results in further the improvement of porosity and permeability:enlarge the radium of pore and throat. At a certain time, the injected water will break through this area and lead to the formation of low-efficiency and no-effect high-permeability belts that are not desired for oilfield production.Taking one injection well and its connected oil production well as a unit, with the help of the dynamic and static tested data of the unit, the recognizing method to these kinds of belt has been analyzed and studied in the course of water flooding of the above unit' s reservoirs. This study method can be popularized and applied in other water flooded units.
