Abstract
The mixed acids of H3PO4 and H2SO3 were applied to extract the pectin from leaves of Premna microphylla Turcz. The single factor analysis and orthogonal test were designed to confirm the main factors and the optimum condition. The results showed that the optimum condition was as follows:H3PO4-H2SO3 ratio 1:2(v:v),solid-liquid ratio 1:35(w:v),pH 1.5,extraction time 1.5h and extraction temperature 90℃. Under these conditions, the extraction rate of pectin and its transmittance were 18.53% and 92.60%,respectively.
