Abstract
Synaptic plasticity is an important characteristic of neural system.It is important to the function of neural system.Synaptic plasticity is divided into short-term and long-term plasticity according to the duration of changes in synaptic efficacy.Short-term synaptic plasticity includes two forms,short-term enhancement and short-term depression.Unlike long-term synaptic plasticity,the production of short-term synaptic plasticity mainly relies on modification of neurotransmitter release.Such synaptic plasticity is thought to play a role in information processing and is able to impact the response pattern of neural circuits.It seems that short-term synaptic plasticity not only be concerned with discrimination of input signals and information processing directly,but also affect the expression of long-term synaptic plasticity.
