Abstract
This paper proposes a software modeling approach which combines Axiomatic Design Theory and Design Structure Matrix.During the zigzagging process of decomposition of user requirements between functional area and physical area, the design matrix and the design structure matrix are integrated and co-evolved.Design matrix describes the dependencies between functional requirements and design parameters, and design structure matrix is used to evaluate the design decisions.A case study is provided to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed approach.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.

Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
