Abstract
Objective To study the expression of P21 ras, osteopontin and CD44v6 and the influences of them on prognosis in lung cancer. Methods A total of 96 patients with lung cancer were subjects The expression of P21ras,osteopontin and CD44v6 were detecte by immuno-histochemistry-staining.Then we analysed the relationship between them and some clinical parameters(including histological tumor type, differentiation and tumor stage).35 patients out of 96 were followed up to analyze the influence of P21ras,osteopontin and CD44v6on prognosis in non-small cell lung cancer. Results ⑴ In non-small cell lung cancer, the expression of OPN and CD44v6 were more common among squamouscell carcinoma cases than them among adenocarcinoma ones, while there's no significant difference in P21ras immunoreactivity between squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma.Co-expression of RAS with OPN and CD44v6 was much higher in squamous cell carcinoma than adenocarcinoma.⑵Compared with patients at early stage, the expression of P21ras、CD44v6 and OPN was higer than them among the patients at late stage. And CD44v6 and OPN were markedly expressed among lung cancer with lymph node metastasis than them among the patients without lymph mode metastasis.⑶ The survival rate was lower in patients with positive expression of P21ras or CD44v6 or OPN than it in the patients with negative expression. Conclusion In non-small cell lung cancer,co-expression among P21ras,osteopontin and CD44v6 in squamous cell carcinoma maybe involved in carcinogenesis and metastasis and associated with the bad prognosis.
