Abstract

The affirmation investigation using 5,5-dimethyl-1,3-cyclohexanedione in photometric determination of formaldehyde in textiles with acetylacetone was studied. It was confirmed that the reaction between formaldehyde and 5,5-dimethyl-1,3-cyclohexanedione is reversible in the existence of acetylacetone, and there are some inaccurate recounts in the literatures.
