Abstract

With the development of Bio-science, Genetics Makers-assisted Selection (MAS) has already obtained prominent genetic progress in animal breeding, in which the key aspect is the identification of useful genetic markers that ought to be in linkage disequilibrium with the major gene which dominates Quantitative Trait Locus (QTL). The paper reviews the application perspective of the technology in the field of animal breeding.
