Abstract

The characteristic indexes of genetically modified soybean and its oil, insect-resistant cotton seed and its oil were compared with those of non-genetically modified soybean and its oil, non-transgenic cotton seed and its oil. The results show that there are no significant differences in the characteristic indexes of genetically modified oilseed and non-genetically modified oilseed. There are also no obvious differences in the characteristic indexes and fatty acid composition of the oil from genetically modified oilseed and the oil from non-genetically modified oilseed.
