Interestingness Measures for Web Usage Mining

Nowadays,two important and interesting areas of current research are data mining and the World Wide Web.The combination of the two areas is referred to as Web mining.Generally,web mining has been separated into two distinct ways.The first is Web content mining,which describes the process of information retrieval and extraction from varieties of sources across the World Wide Web.The second is Web usage mining,which is the process of mining Web access patterns or other user information on one or more Web localities.In this paper we discuss Web mining including the various research issues,techniques and tools,and development efforts in Web content mining and Web usage mining.
