Abstract
The carbon nanoparticles materials have different structures and morphologies, which include amorphous carbon, nanographite, nanodi-amond, carbon nanoonions, carbon nanocages, and so on. They have particular electrical, magnetic and optical properties and show good prospects of applications in so many fields, such as catalyst supporters, biomedicine, magnetic materials, luminous materials, etc. The research of the preparation and applications of carbon nanoparticles with novel structure and particular morphologies has become one of the forefront and hot topics in the field of the carbon nanomaterials. The preparation, structures, morphologies and applications of novel materials of carbon nanoparticles were summarized. The problems to be solved and possible future prospect of development were discussed.
