Abstract

The interaction of rubescensine D and bovine serum albumin(BSA) is investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy. It is shown that rubescensine D has a strong ability to quench the BSA fluorescence mainly via a static quenching. The binding constant, the transfer efficiency of energy and distance parameters are obtained from the fluorescence quenching results.
