Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To observe the curative effect and safety of Reduced Glutathione in treating chronic liver disease. METHODS: A total of 126 patients with chronic liver disease were randomized to receive Reduced Glutathione( trial group) and Potassium Magnessium Aspartape( control group) for 3wk. The primary end points were liver function and change of clinical symptoms. RESULTS: The trial group showed significant improvement in liver function and clinical symptoms after 3- week treatment( P0. 05) , which was better than in control group( P0. 01) . CONCLUSION: Reduced glutathione can improve the liver function in patients with chronic liver.
