Abstract
Test-tube plantlets of potato were treated with water stress by PEG-6000, and then, the physiological response of different cultivars under different degree of water stress were analyzed. The results showed that the content of MDA, proline and soluble protein, activities of SOD, POD and CAT changed defferenrly with different water stress. Under light water stress ( 10 % PEG ), the content of soluble protein increased, a great quantity of proline were accumulated, content of MDA was increased steeply, the activity of SOD, POD and CAT ascended; under heavy water stress ( 20 % PEG ) all these physiological indexes decreased or increased. Different cultivars expressed different sensitivity to water stress, this was related to their different capability of drought resistance.
