Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression and significance of some key effective proteins from Hedgehog(Hh) signaling pathway in human prostate carcinoma and para-carcinoma tissues. Methods Utilizing immunohistochemistry essay,the tissue samples from 51 cases prostate carcinoma and paracarcimoma were detected,and the expression of Shh、Ptch1 and Gli1 proteins were statistically analysed. Results The content of Shh、Ptch1 and Gli1 in Pca was markedly elevated compare with their corresponding adjacent normal tissues,the expression of Shh and Ptch1 have positive correlation and this correlation has statistical significance Conclusions The elevate expression of Shh、Ptch1 and Gli1 strongly activate the hedgehog signaling pathway in Pca,Gli1 has potential to be a better diagnostic marker for prostate cancer.
