Abstract

The free electron gas is a kind of representative quantum Fermi gas. Whether in n dimensions or in the extreme condition of relativity theory, the contribution of free electron to thermal capacity coincides the following conclusion: the influence of thermal capacity from free electron on thermal capacity of metal can be ignored under normal temperature, but when T→0, it can't.
