Abstract
A method for the determination of chondroitin sulfate(Chs) by fluorimetry with the use of crystal violet as probe was developed in this paper. The method was based on that crystal violet had the excitation at wavelength of 232.0 nm and the emission at wavelength of 467.0 nm in a pH 5.0 acetic acid-sodium acetate buffer solution. While adding Chs to the crystal violet solution, the fluorescence intensity was increased. The increase in fluorescence intensity of the solution was linear with Chs concentration in range of 0.0020~1.7 μg/mL with the correlation coefficient of 0.9997.The developed method was simple, accurate, sensitive and suitable for Chs determination.
