Their Eyes were Watching God by Zora Neal Hurston is considered as the masterpiece of the black feminism.Black women undergo both the sexual and racial persecution,hence,the way for the black women to achieve equality and freedom is much more bumpy,This thesis tries to interpret the protagonist's innermost feelings from the black feminist critical angle.After undergoing the repeated failures in her marriages,the protagonist eventually has the feminist awareness and becomes independent as a woman.
