Sanitary investigation of village concentrated water supply in Weifang

Objective To investigate the health situation of village concentrated water supply,and provide scientific evidence to prevent from water-borne infection.Methods From July to November in 2011,684 villages concentrated water supply sites were selected randomly,and their basic situation was investigated.The source and peripheral water of each site was detected.Results Ground water was major source of countryside concentrated supply water in Weifang,the proportion of deep layer ground water was 95.91%,the proportion of complete treated engineering water was 2.78%,the proportion of water supplied with sterilization installation was only 6.87%;in those 1 368 detected water samples,the total qualification rates were 35.82%,the qualification rate of source and peripheral water was 38.45% and 33.19%;the microbes and nitrate exceeded national standard obviously,and the total number of colony,coli group,nitrogen and heat-proof coli group also exceeded standards obviously,which unqualified rates were 45.54%,36.33%,23.25% and 12.79%.Conclusion The sanitary situation of countryside concentrated water supply in Weifang is poor,there is health hidden danger in village drinking water.
