Abstract

Based on the paraxial approximation and matching the optical phase,the ABCD matrices for reflection and refraction of Gaussian light beams at surface of the parabolic lens of revolution that separate media of different refractive indices are deduced.By utilizing the ABCD matrices,the corresponding transforming equations for the spot sizes and wave-front radii of the incident beams are obtained.These brings convenience to design the special optical systems with this kind of elements.
