Professor WANG Qing-guo's clinical experience of treating rheumatoid arthritis

Professor WANG Qing-guo is rich both in TCM theory and clinical experience,he has extensive experience of treating rheumatoid arthritis.Professor WANG use decoction clearly,medication precise and appropriate,with prominent effect.According to syndrome differentiation of damp-heat leading to rheumatism,professor WANG attaches importance to clearing away damp-heat,dredging meridians and collaterals,he likes to use supplemented Mufangji Decoction,Baihujiaguizhi Decoction,Chuanqinghaijia Decoction and so on.Professor WANG divides rheumatoid arthritis into the following five types: damp-heat leading to rheumatism syndrome,wind-cold and dampness leading to rheumatism syndrome,cold and heat complex syndrome,obstruction due to phlegm stagnation syndrome,and insufficiency of liver and kidney,deficiency of qi and blood syndrome,with a flexible regulation according to the syndrome diagnosis that proved better effect in clinic.This article systematically summarizes professor WANG's academic and clinical experiences of treating rheumatoid arthritis,summarizing Mr WANG's treatment characteristics,his understanding of prescription syndrome and pathomechanism,the use of prescription and herbs and so on,in order to provide an important reference for clinical treatment.
