The Trend of US Future Energy Pattern and the Present Situation of China’s Shale Gas Exploration

Shale gas is one kind of clean, high-efficient energy and has become an important energy source after petroleum and natural gas. That America can successfully develop shale gas and start shale gas industry is inseparable from its cutting-edge technology and preferential policy. With fast increasing of China’s economy, the shortage of energy supply has become a bottleneck restricting the development of China’s economy. Combining with the latest progress of US shale development, this study analyzes distribution characteristics and exploration status of China’s shale gas, and points out difficulties and problems China will face during exploration of shale gas.
