Abstract
One hundred and twenty-four Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus)strains were isolated from the clinical mastitis milk samples. Two hundreds and thirteen S.aureus isolates caused subclinical mastitis.Enterotoxin genes and tst genes were detected in 337 Staphylococcus aureus isolates using PCR.It was found that 27.42% of bovine clinical mastitis S.aureus isolates harboured enterotoxin genes and tst genes,so did 1.41% of bovine subclinical mastitis S.aureus isolates.Enterotoxin A,enterotoxin C and TSST-1 were the major toxins produced by bovine mastitis S.aureus.All S.aureus isolates carrying enterotoxin genes or tst genes were examined by ELISA or RPLA. The results from of the three methods(PCR,ELISA and RPLA) were consistent.
