Abstract
As an attachment of the main structure, glass wall curtain is usually used as the building enclosure and have a good appearance. Its stiffness is usually so small comparing with that of the main structure, which is not taken into account in the structural analysis for common buildings. But to some special projects, when an independent structural system with a great stiffness is built for the glass curtain walls, the interaction between the curtain wall the structural system and the main structure must be taken into account. So a real project was studied to find the contribution of glass curtain wall to the whole structure. And it was found that the contribution of glass curtain wall can be adjusted by changing the constrains of the glass curtain wall supports.
