Effects of Different Nursery Substrates on the Growth of Grafting Plants of Oil Camellia

In this paper,studies were made of the effects of several substrates on the survival rate,height,ground diameter and root system and other growth indicators of Camellia oleifera seedlings.The results showed that among 4 matrix proportions,the average survival rate of annual Camellia oleifera grafting seedlings in light matrix container was 82.2%,the average height was 32.1 cm,average diameter was 0.32 cm,being the largest.The seedling taproot of biennial field raising seedlings was the longest,being 13.3 cm.The ratio of roots to shoots was the maximum,being 0.50.That was suitable for the later period growth of Camellia oleifera after afforestation.Therefore for cultivating 1-year-old seedlings the camellia light matrix was the best choice,cultivating biennial seedlings should select the field nursery.
