Abstract
Objective To compare the clinical and pathologic characteristic of children IgA nephropathy and henoch-schonlein purpura nephritis, in order to provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods About 40 cases of children with IgA nephropathy, and 40 cases with henoch-schonlein purpura nephritis in our hospital from January 2010 to December 2012 were selected, and clinical and pathological characteristic of two groups were analyzed and compared. Results(1) Clinical characteristics: the gender of two groups was not significantly different( P0.05), in IgA nephropathy group, the proportion of children aged above 12 years old was higher( P0.05). In incidence season, autumn incidence of henoch-schonlein purpura nephritis group was significantly higher than IgA nephropathy group(P0.05). In gastrointestinal symptoms, joint pain, purpura and other symptoms of nephritis group of was significantly more than IgA nephropathy group(P0.05).(2) Pathological features: in henoch-schonlein purpura nephritis group, the incidence of global sclerosis, mesangial sclerosis was significantly lower than IgA nephropathy group( P0.05), prolif eration of endothelial was significantly more than IgA nephropathy group( P0.05), sediment types of two was signifi cantly different(P 0.05). Conclusion Children IgA nephropathy and henoch-schonlein purpura nephritis although have similar immune abnormalities, but clinical pathological features is significantly different, suggesting that clinical attention should be paid differently.
