Abstract

Objective: To study the relationship between different grades cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)and the distribution of human papillomavirus(HPV).Methods: Select 321 cases which had been histologically confirmed cervical intraepithellial neoplasia 2(CIN2) or higher(CIN2+),among which 67cases of CIN2,247 cases of CIN3/ACIS,7 cases of invasive carcinoma.HPV genotyping was conducted with the HPV genotyping kit of Shenzhen Yaneng biotechonology company. Results: HPV was detected in 93.5%(300/321) of the cases,of whom 43.0%(138/321) were infected with more than one HPV genotype.HPV16 was the most common genotype, accounting for 41.1%(132/321) of all cases, followed by HPV 31,33,52,18 and 51.As single infections HPV16 and HPV33 were more common in cases with CIN3+ as compared to CIN2(P0.05).Similarly,concurrent infections including HPV16 or HPV33 were also significantly higher than in CIN3+ as compared to CIN2(P0.05).Conclusion: HPV16 and HPV33 are more dangerous than other HPV genotyps and maybe have a higher oncogenic potential than others.
