Abstract
The constructions and performance characteristics of thin film solar cells based on Cu(In,Ga)Se_2 are introduced as well as their fabrications and technological prcesses. The emphasis is laid on the new advancements and development tendency of the thin film solar cells in developed industrial countries and relevant companies, especially on their highest photoelectric conversion efficiencies of laboratory samples and products of solar cells. A brief description of current RD situation in China on CIGS solar cell is also given, with the industrialized feasibility and prospect of production of thin film solar cells based on Cu(In,Ga)Se_2 in China discussed.
