Abstract

Objective: To explore the clinical changes and effects of early enteral nutrition on prognosis after acute stroke.Methods:82 cases with dysphagia were randomized into two groups, enteral nutrition therapy group(therapy group) and homogenized feeding group(control group). In both groups, the levels of serum albumin and hemoglobin were detected on admission and 4 weeks later, and the incidence of infective complications and clinical changes(NIHSS Score) were also compared. Results: After 4 weeks, the levels of serum albumin and hemoglobin in therapy group were significantly higher than in control group, and the incidence of infective complications were significantly lower than in control group. The NIHSS Score has statistical difference between the two groups. Conclusion: Early enteral nutritional support is helpful for the nutritional status. It can reduce the incidence of infective complications and improve clinical prognosis in stroke patients with dysphagia.
