Abstract

Natural Gas Hydrate is a important and potential energy resource after coal and oil.In this paper, the distributions of Gas Hydrate in the whole world, our land and the South Qilian basin are introduced in detail. However, due to the complexity of climate and geological characteristics in permafrost regions, the study of Gas Hydrate in permafrost regions can not be started timely. For this problem, there is a detailed analysis of the formation conditions and existing environment of the Gas Hydrate in South Qilian basin Permafrost regions,as well as the relationship of formation of the Natural Gas Hydrate and temperature, pressure, tectonic, sedimentation, which provides a basis for the development and utilization of Gas Hydrate in our other permafrost regions.
