Abstract

Using 3D CAD software-SolidEdge as develop platform,this paper discusses gear parametric modeling approach,combining gear design calculation and 3D entity modeling with ActiveX Automation technique,producing 3D model of the involute gear through character operation method.This paper gives an efficient method in second developing of CAD software with VC++.
