Abstract
The sensitivity base-line of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, the causal agent of mango anthracnose, to the fungicide carbendazim was studied. The mean EC_(50) and minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) values of carbendazim inhibiting mycelium growth of 117 wild-type isolates were ((0.056 8)±(0.001 8)) μg/mL and 1.0 μg/mL, respectively. The resistance of C. gloeosporioides to carbendazim was monitored from 1996 to 2000, and the results showed that the resistance developed in the population. 48.59% of the tested isolates were resistant to carbendaim, and the percentage of the resistant isolates in high-level, mid-level, low-level and very-high-level were 18.66%, 18.0%, 7.38% and 4.56%, respectively. The dynamics of resistance to carbendazim was also disscussed in the paper.
