Comprehensive Study and Evaluation on Low-Carbon Economy Development Based on Principle Components Analysis

Since the reform and opening up of China,Jiangxi Province has experienced a rapid economy growth,but also faced with the problems of dramatic increase in carbon emission.Through comprehensive study on the four criteria for evaluating economic development,namely,resource management,technology advancing,consumption pattern and economy growth,the author has conducted an empirical analysis on the composite score and development trend by using principal component analysis method,and found the overall low-carbon economy development continuing to grow in Jiangxi Province.To continue developing low carbon economy in Jiangxi Province,we need to focus on(1) optimizing industry structure to build a low carbon industry system,(2) strengthening research and innovation to promote carbon reduction and energy saving technology,(3) adjusting energy resource structure to diversify energy production and consumption,(4) exploring low carbon economy development model to encourage recycling economy,and(5) promoting green consumption patterns to achieve sustainable economic growth.
