From Tradition to Present: Studies on Updated Morality Construction

Morality is the result of historical evolution promoting communication between human beings and sustaining the existence of society. It is a culture on the change and conveys historical features. At present, morality degradation is affecting all societies in the world and it seriously endangers the healthy development of economy and society of China. The reasons are morality degradation in China are quite identical to those of other countries in the broader sense, yet morality degradation in China is the consequence of certain special factors resulted from great social changes in the last decades. This paper, based on the integrity of the needs of contemporary society and the needs of human being, delves into the priorities in morality construction. And it proposes some strategies for new morality construction. The objective of the paper, above anything else, to help people establish new morality and make it to undertake its social function and live up to the true sense of morality.
