Abstract

Application of the multi-type-pile composite foundation in coastal soft soil areas was studied and the mechanism of such reinforcement method was also analyzed briefly.Based on in-situ stress measurements, the stress development in the piles and nearby soil was analyzed.Meanwhile, the mechanism of piles-soil interaction and the bearing ratios in piles and soil were researched. The result shows that the treated characterized value of composite foundation is 5.7 times larger than that of untrated composite foundation.
