Prenatal Echocardiographic Diagnosis of Fetal Tetralogy of Fallot

Objective:The purpose of this study was to describe the antenatal ultrasonographic findings of fetuses with tetralogy of Fallot.Methods:The data of 12 fetuses diagnosed as tetralogy of Fallot by fetal echocardiography were reviewed and the abnormal echocardiographic features in various sonographic views were analyzed.Results:Twelve fetuses were confirmed to be tetralogy of Fallot by autopsy.The key echocardiographic features of tetralogy of Fallot were uniformly demonstrated to ventricular septal defect,overriding aorta and abnormal ratio of pulmonary artery to aorta.Conclusions:Fetal tetralogy of Fallot can be detected by echocardiography,it has important clinic value.The key echocardiographic features of tetralogy of Fallot were uniformly demonstrated to ventricular septal defect,overriding aorta,abnormal ratio of pulmonary artery to aorta and the abcence of the hypertrophy of the right ventricle.
