Abstract
The effect of primary Si and eutectic Si in Al-30%Si alloy with Al-P-RE-Sr combination modification was studied. After modification,primary Si and eutectic Si can be modificated at the same time. The primary Si phase has dispersion state for long time and not get together. The average grain size of primary Si phase doesn't exceed 35 μm, at the same time, the most eutectic Si also gets fibre shape or spot shape. The time of combination modification can reach 7 h. The mechanical property of material also improves, the tensil strength is 234.3 MPa, elongation is 3.0%.
