Abstract
At present, perfect compensation systems for criminal victims have been set up in many countries by the means of legislation. Though criminal victims are uncommonly appointed as the litigants in China, due to the lack of the compensation system and the extra-litigation aid system from the society, only a few criminal victims can get some compensation through collateral civil proceedings. Therefore, the law of compensation for criminal victims should be legislated in China. It can not only relieve the pain of the criminal victims, but also be helpful to raise people's confidence in the government and maintain social stability.
