The Destiny of the Contemporary Virtue Ethics

The rehabilitation of Aristotle's virtue ethics in the contemporary era is shown at three variations of his virtue ethics,namely,the virtue ethics of the communitarism,the virtue ethics of the universalism,the virtue ethics of phronesis.On the one hand,the contemporary virtue ethics cannot justify a moral,which is in the democratic society legitimate and can unite the moral consciousnesses of everyone;on the other hand,the virtue ethics of Aristotle's phronesis as an ethical wisdom can help us to point out a clear way or an effective method to deal with the complicated moral dilemmas and the ethic conflicts in our time.
