The theme of ego in the thought of Zhuangzi

The paper holds the view that the theme of ego is the core of Zhuangzi thought which will be accounted for from the following four respects: (1)The assumption that Zhuangzi was the descendant of the Chu clan and the intro-evidences of the documents suggest that ego problem is the first one raised by him in his anxious early age. (2)The reflection of Zhuangzi on the relationship between mind and ego solves the essential problem of ego. (3)Xinzhai and Zuowang are the two main ways of comprehension of Tao,Which, in Zhuangzi's opinion,approach self-liberation. (4)In the logical structure of delivering a sermon,the ego theory of Zhuangzi extends to the theory of politics,knowledge,aesthetics,etc,and thus Zhuangzi thought forms a complex and profound system.
